Hello and welcome.
My name is Megan; I am a graphic designer based in Queens, NY. I received my BFA in graphic design from the State University of New York at New Paltz. I graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the University's Honors Program. During my four years, I was a member of the Universities's Varsity Soccer and Lacrosse teams.
While earning my degree I took advantage of several internship and freelance opportunities. I interned at KGI Design Group and KGG Enterprise Event Management.
Both experiences were instrumental in learning how to apply my design skills to
client-based tasks.
Shortly after college, I started my internship position at Contentsquare as a Visual and Motion Design Intern. This internship quickly put my design knowledge to the test as I was expected to apply company branding, learn marketing design programs and interpret corporate and marketing design language. While in this role, I learned the importance of maintaining brand consistency and how to use branding guidelines as a tool to create visual solutions. In this role I was responsible for creating banner advertisements for demand generation, producing corporate social assets, assisting globally in the mass production of event assets (in person and virtually), building HTML5 banners, supporting the video team on live and recorded sets and creating digital reports for B2B audience.
January 2022 I was promoted to Junior Visual Designer at Contentsqaure. In this new role, I utilized my prior knowledge of marketing design and applied it to global conceptual campaigns and projects. As i progressed into this role I took on larger responsibilities such as building visual style guides for marketing campaigns, creating large-scale reports, managing the delivery of assets for global virtual events, and pitching concepts for sub-branding proposals. This was a pivotal point in my career in that I quickly gained confidence to independently tackle large scale design briefs, autonomously manage my assignment's, communicate with stakeholders and create engaging design solutions.
In my next chapter, I am eager to find a design position in a collaborative work environment where I can utilize a set branding to develop unique, cultivating design solutions.
